Minority Shareholding Valuations

We have particular expertise and experience in valuing minority shareholdings and undertake a significant number of such valuations every year.

Minority shareholdings are an interest in a company that cannot exert control over that company. However, the size of an interest and the level of influence held by a minority interest holder varies from circumstance to circumstance, meaning significant experience is required to ensure minority shareholding valuation advice is reliable and defensible. We hold such experience.

Our firm has Registered Business Valuers and Chartered Accountants. Importantly too, Director at our firm, Stephen Groves is a Certified Minority Interest Valuer and has presented lectures on this topic to peers and other professional practitioners for a number of years.

We frequently prepare valuations of minority interests to assist with litigation (including acting on shareholder oppression cases) and to assist with financial reporting and taxation requirements.

As with all of our valuation advice, we prepare minority shareholding valuations that are reliable, useful and easy to understand. Further, we often prepare such advice for our clients at very short notice.
